For the academic year 2024–2025, the Vice Chancellor of Mbeya University of Science and Technology (MUST) extends an invitation to suitably qualified individuals for admission to a variety of certificate, diploma, bachelor, and postgraduate programs.
In order to apply, candidates must use the online portal and follow the instructions to complete their applications.
Admission Guideline
- Admission to the University is open to bona fide students or persons meeting the entry requirements. Such persons shall be required to go through registration formalities to confirm their status as bona fide students.
- To be admitted in the first year of study at Mbeya University of Science and Technology you must have relevant certificates entitling him/her to go for the course they applied for and duly approved by the relevant authority or have other qualifications considered equivalent by the University.
- A student from a similar institution wishing to be admitted into the second year of study at MUST, must have passed all examinations in the relevant programmes in the preceding year of study.
- No student from another institution shall be admitted to the final year of study at Mbeya University of Science and Technology.
- A student, who has been admitted and does not report for registration in a particular year, may re-apply for admission during the coming Academic year provided the admission requirements remain the same.
- A student who postponed studies for more than two consecutive academic years shall be deemed to have terminated studies. Therefore, a student interested to continue with studies at University shall be required to apply for re-admission in the first year of study.

The duration of the course is one academic year for the certificate program, three academic years for the diploma programs in science, engineering, and architecture, and two academic years for the diploma programs in business administration, marketing, entrepreneurship, and agribusiness with technology.

Course Duration:
Programs in Business Administration, Education, Information and Communication Technology, Laboratory Science, and Computer Science have a three-year duration.
The duration of the course is four years for applicants with Form Six qualifications (ACSEE) and Diploma holders (FTC/NTA Level 6) or Equivalent Qualifications for Bachelor in Engineering, Technology in Architecture, and Technical Education Programs.
