The YoWDO is seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Project Officer to contribute to the successful implementation of the Ready for Inclusive Sustainable Employment and Entrepreneurship (RISE/E) project. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in empowering youth with disabilities to achieve economic independence and social inclusion.

The Project Officer will provide essential support to the implementation of the Ready for Inclusive Sustainable Employment and Entrepreneurship (RISE/E) project. Key responsibilities include contributing to project planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation; fostering effective communication and collaboration among stakeholders; ensuring timely completion of project tasks and deliverables through project objectives.

  • Prepare and maintain project documentation for reporting, monitoring and evaluation purposes to ensure accessibility of quality information and contribute to the achievement of project outcomes.
  • Provide administrative and logistical support for project activities, ensuring smooth operations.
  • Develop and implement robust monitoring and evaluation plan to track project progress, identify challenges, and recommend solutions.
  • Assist in the identification and recruitment of project beneficiaries.
  • Provide support to beneficiaries during training, mentorship, and business development activities.
  • Maintain accurate records of beneficiary participation and progress.
  • Facilitate linkages between beneficiaries and potential employers or markets.
  • Collect and compile project data for monitoring and evaluation purposes.
  • Assist in data entry and analysis.
  • Prepare regular progress reports and success stories.
  • Contribute to building and maintaining relationships with project donor and stakeholders.
  • Attend project meetings, provide inputs and support services, draft briefs and ensuring that all action points timely and accurately implemented

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in social sciences, Sociology, Social Work, development studies, business administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in project implementation,
  • Strong understanding of the disability sector in Tanzanian
  • Strong understanding of the challenges faced by youth with disabilities.
  • Prior knowledge and experience working within the NGO sector
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated commitment to social justice and inclusion.
