The Bank serves clients from all walks of life and offers complete financial services. In addition to providing other banking services, the bank finances traders, manufacturers, retailers, individuals, staff members of reputable businesses, organizations, government agencies, SMEs, etc.
The primary objective of the ICT Auditor, who reports to the Head of Internal Audit, is to verify that the transaction data in financial statements, internal system operations, and other compliance reports that the financial institution requires are authentic, comprehensive, precise, and duly permitted.
Major responsibilities
- The ability to examine the bank’s information systems, which comprise the servers, networking devices, databases, core banking system, operating systems, and applications, and determine whether or not they are reliable enough to guarantee data integrity.
- Understanding of the Board of Directors’ and IT steering committee’s roles, the existence of IT risk assessment, and the IT governance procedures in place to evaluate their suitability.
- Ability to conduct application control testing, including interface, data integrity, sensitive access, and segregation of duties controls, and to get a reasonable assurance regarding the completeness and accuracy of reports and transactions generated by the systems.
- Assessing the accuracy of balances gathered and reported in the institution’s IT system as a result of every transaction and data processing
Minimum Qualifications
- A university degree or comparable ICT credentials.
- Probably a CISA certified individual with excellent data analysis abilities.
- Expertise in audit analysis tools such as Arbutus and ACL is advantageous.
- Strong interpersonal and teamwork abilities, along with strong written and vocal communication skills.
- Preference will be given to candidates with at least one year of experience working as an information system auditor for a Tanzanian banking or financial organization.
