NBC is the oldest serving bank in Tanzania with over five decades of experience. We offer a range of retail, business, corporate and investment banking, wealth management products and services. Now is looking for Head Public Sector
Responsibilities:
- Analyze market entry strategies from a macroeconomic perspective, as well as the financial services sector, profit margins, and regional competition.
- Conduct periodic strategy assessments of current companies in coordination with other bank units.
- Review competitors and potential targets; create target lists for important markets or industry sectors. Create acquisition valuation and synergy cases, with pipeline driving priority.
- Develop in-depth understanding of the Tanzanian market and our present business approaches.
- In order to ensure that the strategy generates the most revenue for the bank, bring market information, competitor analysis, trade flows, and creative “deal” structures to the table while drafting the overall strategy in conversations with the Head of CIB, Country, Management Committee, and Credit Risk.
Knowledge, Skills and competences required:
- Thorough familiarity with the PSI product line
- Thorough comprehension of the goods offered by NBC
- A thorough comprehension of our corporate representation and capabilities throughout Africa
- Extensive understanding of our broader geographic reach
- Comprehensive knowledge of national policies and initiatives in relation to client base demands
- Suiting the specific financial needs of business owners and important individuals also requires having a solid understanding of the goods and services offered by the retail sector.
- A thorough awareness of the competitive landscape and a thorough comprehension of NBC’s unique competitive advantage
- Thorough knowledge of national credit risk policies and CBRM guidelines
Preferred
- Knowledge of banking and financial environment in Tanzanian and neighboring countries
- Banking and Government systems in Tanzania
- MBC/Degree in Banking
- Commercial or related qualification would be an advantage.
Experience
- Minimum 7 years experience in Corporate Banking (PSI) in emerging markets
- Proven experience and expertise in credit risk analysis
- Sound track record of relationship management
- Proven networks within the Business banking field in emerging markets
