Accounts Clerk || Lake Cement Limited

Job Title: Accounts Clerk
Department: Accounts
Reports To: HOD – Accounts and Finance

Key Responsibilities:

• Keep track of the employee annual leave ledgers, funeral fund, and CSR expense data.
• Manage petty cash correctly through reconciliation at the plant (PCVF).
• For complete and final preparation, check employees’ outstanding loan and advance balances in accordance with the HR email.
• Use the new TRA online system to file your VAT return.
• Compile and execute WCF, SDL, and Withholding Tax return computations.
• Get the salary information ready for the monthly payout.
• Track down on petty cash advances for factory expenses in order to receive settlement.
• In order to book monthly provisioning, enter transporter invoices into the ERP and reconcile them with store-booked GRNs.
• In the absence of other staff members, carry out any additional daily assignments that may be assigned.

Education:

• A bachelor’s degree, diploma, or equivalent in accounting or CPA Inter.

Experience:

• 1-2 years of experience in accounting.

Desirable Skills:

• Expertise keeping daybooks, recording expenses, and managing finances on one’s own.
• Awareness of the annual and monthly book closings.
• Proficiency with account reconciliation and reporting in Excel, including sophisticated tools like VLOOKUP, pivot tables, and popular formulas.
• Understanding of bank reconciliation for both current and OD accounts.
• The capacity to function under duress.
