CAMFED (Campaign for Female Education) is internationally recognised as a leader in education for girls, for its child protection policy and practise, and as a voice for girls’ education and women’s empowerment at the highest levels. Founded in 1993, CAMFED supports young women throughout their primary and secondary school years, into economic training and further education, and onto leadership, as role models, activists, and philanthropists. CAMFED Tanzania is looking to recruit for this role based in Dar es Salaam.
Overseeing the finance department at CAMFED Tanzania, including strategic financial planning, financial management, control, and analysis; making sure that financial resources are used effectively and accountably; and ensuring that the finance team and system run smoothly. Assume responsibility for the creation, development, and analysis of financial statements as well as the daily administration of cash flow and all other financial issues pertaining to CAMFED Tanzania. Offer the organization’s line managers first-rate support services.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business administration or Financial Management (BCom, BAF, BA etc.).
- Certified Professional Accountant, Management accountant or equivalent professional level (CPA, ACCA, or CMA) registered with appropriate professional governing Authority.
- Master’s Degree.
- More than 7 years’ experience.
- Proven Management skills.
- Strong advanced Excel skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Speedy and attentive to detail.
- Team player.
- Working in a multicultural set-up.
