The Catholic University of Health and Allied Sciences (CUHAS) is delighted to Invite the qualified candidates to apply for Various Undergraduate Programmes offered at CUHAS in 2024/2025 Academic Year.
Our University is located within Bugando Medical Centre premises in Mwanza, Tanzania.
The Application Window for the first round will be open from 15th July, 2024 to 05th August, 2024.

- Bachelor of Medical Laboratory Sciences (BMLS)
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing Education (BSc. NED)
- Bachelor of Pharmacy (B. Pharm)
- Doctor of Medicine (MD)
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSc. N)
- Bachelor of Science in Medical Imaging and Radiotherapy (BSc. MIR)
CUHAS Entry Requirement
1. Bachelor of Medical Laboratory Sciences – 3 Years
Direct Entry
Three Principal Passes at A-level in Physics, Chemistry and Biology with minimum of 6 points whereby One must have at least ‘C’ grade in Chemistry, ‘D’ grade in Biology and at least ‘E’ grade in Physics.
Diploma/Equivalent Entry
Diploma in Medical laboratory Sciences from a recognized institution with an average of “B” or a minimum of GPA of 3.0.
All Official Correspondence to be addressed to the Vice Chancellor CUHAS
In addition, an applicant must have 5 passes with a minimum of ‘D’ grade In Chemistry, Biology, Physics, Basic Mathematics and English Language at O-Level.
2. Bachelor of Science in Nursing Education – 4 Years
Diploma/Equivalent Entry
Diploma in Nursing or Advanced Diploma in Nursing Education from a recognized institution with an average of “B” or a minimum of GPA of 3.0.
In addition, an applicant must have 5 passes with a minimum of ‘D’ grade In Chemistry, Biology, Physics, Basic Mathematics and English Language at O-Level.
3. Bachelor of Pharmacy – 4 Years
- Direct Entry
Three Principal Passes at A-Level in Physics, Chemistry and Biology with minimum of 6 points whereby One must have a minimum of ‘D’ grade in Chemistry, Biology and Physics.
- Diploma/Equivalent Entry
Diploma in Pharmaceutical Sciences from a recognized institution with an average of “B” or a minimum of GPA of 3.0.
In addition, an applicant must have 5 passes with a minimum of ‘D’ grade In Chemistry, Biology, Physics, Basic Mathematics and English Language at O-Level.
4. Doctor of Medicine – 5 Years
- Direct Entry
Three Principal Passes in Physics, Chemistry and Biology with minimum of 6 points whereby One must have a minimum of ‘D’ grade in Chemistry, Biology and Physics.
- Diploma/ Equivalent Entry
Diploma in Clinical Medicine from a recognized institution with an average of “B” or a minimum of GPA of 3.0.
In addition, an applicant must have 5 passes with a minimum of ‘D’ grade In Chemistry, Biology, Physics, Basic Mathematics and English Language at O-Level.
5. Bachelor of Science in Nursing – 4 Years
- Direct Entry
Three Principal Passes at A-Level in Chemistry, Biology and either Physics or Advanced Mathematics or Nutrition with minimum of 6 points whereby One must have at least ‘C’ grade in Chemistry, ‘D’ grade in Biology and at least ‘E’ grade in Physics or Advanced Mathematics or Nutrition.
- Diploma/ Equivalent Entry.
Diploma in Nursing from a recognized institution with an average of “B” or a minimum of GPA of 3.0.
In addition, an applicant must have 5 passes with a minimum of ‘D’ grade In Chemistry, Biology, Physics, Basic Mathematics and English Language at O-Level.
6. Bachelor of Science in Medical Imaging and Radiotherapy – 4 Years
Direct Entry
Three Principal Passes at A-level in Physics, Chemistry and Biology with minimum of 6 points whereby One must have a minimum of ‘D’ grade in Chemistry, Biology and Physics.
Diploma/Equivalent Entry.
Diploma in Medical Imaging/Radiography from a recognized institution with an average of “B” or a minimum of GPA of 3.0.
In addition, an applicant must have 5 passes with a minimum of ‘D’ grade In Chemistry, Biology, Physics, Basic Mathematics and English Language at O-Level.
