Job Description: We are looking for a motivated and experienced Finance Officer to develop and implement financial strategies, policies, and procedures to ensure the company’s strategic and financial goals are achieved. Oversee financial planning and analysis, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.

  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and present accurate and timely financial statements, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements. 
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the preparation of the annual budget and financial forecasts. Monitor actual performance against budget and provide variance analysis. 
  • Cost Accounting: Oversee cost accounting activities, including tracking production costs, analyzing cost variances, and ensuring accurate product costing. 
  • Accounts Management: Manage accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely payments and collections. Reconcile bank statements and manage cash flow. 
  • Inventory Management: Monitor and manage inventory levels in collaboration with the production team. Analyze inventory costs and implement strategies to optimize inventory turnover. 
  • Compliance and Auditing: Ensure compliance with financial regulations, accounting standards, and company policies. Prepare for and coordinate internal and external audits. 
  • Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis to support business decisions, including investment analysis, capital expenditure evaluation, and profitability analysis. 
  • Taxation: Oversee the preparation and filing of tax returns, ensuring compliance. Manage tax planning and optimization strategies. 
  • System and Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for improving financial systems and processes and lead the implementation of best practices in financial management. 
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, including production, procurement, and sales, to ensure alignment of financial objectives with operational goals.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or a related field. Professional certification or holding CPA qualification will be an added advantage.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in finance or accounting, preferably in the manufacturing industry.
  • Strong knowledge of financial accounting, cost accounting, and financial analysis.
  • Proficiency in financial management software and Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
  • Knowledge of relevant financial regulations and compliance requirements.
