Rikolto in Tanzania is looking for a program advisor to assist in the execution of two essential projects: Vijana Kilimo Biashara (VKB) and the Joint Programme on Accelerating Progress Towards Rural Women’s Economic Empowerment (JP RWEE). These programs seek to strengthen smallholder farmers’ involvement in long-term trade relationships, increase food production, and promote economic empowerment for women and youth in the Singida and Dodoma areas.
The program advisor will manage project planning, execution, and monitoring. To guarantee the efficient implementation of project objectives, this function requires strong collaboration with farmers, local partners, and stakeholders. Key tasks include identifying regional bottlenecks and possibilities in the sorghum and sunflower value chains, arranging technical trainings, and establishing market connections to improve food security and economic viability.
Key roles:
Coordinate sorghum and sunflower program activities for VKB and JP RWEE in Singida and Dodoma.
Monitor and record change and innovation processes, as well as analyze their effect on smallholder livelihoods.
Collaborate with a variety of stakeholders to encourage sustainable sourcing and company growth.
Posts: 1 Contract duration: 1 year (renewable).
