A large-scale digital transformation project is being carried out by Helios Towers Operations and Engineering, with an emphasis on using high-quality data from almost 10,000 sites to improve operational effectiveness. We are in the third phase of this transition right now, and via important insights, there is a significant possibility to generate world-class operational efficiency.

We are looking for recent graduates to work closely with our Performance Engineering teams in Senegal and Tanzania in order to help this. The graduates will work on strategic projects that are essential to Helios Towers’ objectives. They will directly contribute to the creation, testing, and implementation of creative solutions that enhance our Network Operations Centre (NOC), which keeps an eye on site performance, and the field teams in charge of equipment maintenance.

Key projects these graduates will engage in include:
- Proactive Power Alarms: Developing systems to predict and alert on potential power issues before they impact site performance.
- Automated Fuel Planning: Creating algorithms to optimize fuel usage and ensure efficient refueling schedules.
- Power Efficiency Alarms: Implementing alerts to identify and address inefficiencies in power usage.
- Optimizing Manpower Scheduling: Designing logic to optimize the deployment and scheduling of field personnel, ensuring maximum efficiency.
- Automated Site Control: Developing automated systems to control site operations remotely, reducing the need for manual interventions.

Including these acquisitions and BTS site commitments, the Group’s total site count is expected to increase from over 8,500 towers currently to approaching 15,000.
